Virtual mobility - Spain

Wandering in Spain: looking for love and romance!

From Monday 17th to Friday 21st, the five schools of the project participate in a virtual mobility.

It is a week full of online activities and FEDAC Prats school is the organizer of the event.

It is a great challenge because physical mobility has been changed for virtual mobility, because of covid.

We have worked hard to make a week full of good experiences and emotions!

In addition, we are fighting to achieve the main goal: make friends!

Next document is a guide for all the teachers to follow during the week of virtual mobility in Spain.

Welcome to the Erasmus virtual mobility!

Welcome to our school!

  • It's the first day of the virtual mobility in Spain and kids are really excited to meet their new partners and share time together.
  • FEDAC Prats School has prepared a welcoming ceremony for all the partners from the other countries. All the teachers and students of the school have been involved in it.

After this first general meeting, students from primary 6 went to their classroom, introduced themselves and took a short break.

The next activity was in groups. So, students have been divided in five groups and meet together. Catalan students have been the responsible ones to show the school to all their European partners, through the screen and moving around the school.

At the end, there are some activities that each country can do on its own. In this case, and because of the name of the 5 groups students have been working on, they can watch some videos and move around 5 important Catalan spots.

Finally, students have a Google form to fill in and share their opinion.

Here you have some videos and material to get the idea!

All the countries have voted for their favourite place in Catalonia and the winner is:

    COSTA BRAVA!

  • Welcome to our town!

    • The second day of the virtual mobility week has been full of new activities.

We've started the day visiting the Town Hall of our town, Prats de Lluçanès. The Mayor and the Councilor of education welcome the teachers and students from Greece, Finland, France, UK and Hungary. Two representants from FEDAC Prats School shared some welcoming words for European partners. After that, Primary 6 pupils showed some interesting parts of the Town Hall.

After the break time, students have been divided in five groups, like yesterday. Through the online game Catalan students have been prepared, they spend a great time knowing a little bit more about Prats de Lluçanès town and speaking to each others. The relationships are growing up! They have started making friends!

At the end, there are activities for each country to do on its own: two musical challenges! Are you ready to dance and sing?

    • Welcome to Barcelona!

      •

The days go by very fast and we are already in the middle of the virtual mobility.

Today we have gone beyond the school and the town and we have focused on Barcelona, the capital city of Catalonia.

Catalan students have prepared an oral presentation about some places and festivities in Barcelona and they have explained it to their friends from the other countries.

Afterwards, each country could enjoy an online 3D tour to visit Sagrada família, Camp Nou Stadium and Park Güell.

After the break, boys and girls reconnected in groups and played the Who's who? game. Do you know who these famous Catalan characters are? What a funny time!

Finally, students from France, Greece, Finland, Hungary and UK have been challenged! Can you draw a portrait of the Catalan friends you've got in the group?

We are looking forward to see the result!

      • Love and romance legends!

        • It's Thursday and it's time for our love and romance legends! For a few months we have been discovering some legends from all countries:

          - Greece: The Myth of Europe

          - France: Beauty and the Beast

          - Hungary: Fair Ilonka

          - UK: Robin Hood and Maid Marian

          - Finland: Adalmina's pearl

          - Spain: Saint George and the dragon

We start with an activity all together. It consists on a legends' quiz! Each country is a team and has to choose the schore that wants to get. As higher is the punctuation, more difficult is the question!

What a funny time that we spent together!

After the break, students watched to videos about Saint George day in Prats de Lluçanès and in Barcelona. They have learnt a little bit more about this Catalan tradition.

Then, it's crafts time! Do you know how to make a rose? Let's follow the instructions a make the rose that Saint George gave to the princess!

Finally, Catalan studients have prepared a play list with their favourite songs and shared with European partners. Which one is your favourite? Did you know them? And you? Have you got a special song? We are waiting for your emails!

          Farewell!

          • The last day has arrived! We are happy for the well done job but, on the other hand, it's time to say goodbye and this is always sad.

we start with an exchange of words by representatives of each country and then, we dance in a circle while we are singing "It's time to say goodbye" song.

Finally, and before to start some individual activities, boys and girls start the last connection in their small groups. The groups with all the friends they have already known. It's a short but emotional farewell.

            It's not a "goodbye", it's a "see you soon"!

          • Huns in Spain

          • British in Spain

            • In the UK, our Year 3/4 children were all involved in the virtual mobility organised by our Spanish partners. The children started the week really excited to speak to children from around Europe and the week did not disappoint them. They started off a little shy, not knowing what to say to their new friends but by the end of the week were enjoying communicating and learning about their friends cultures and school.

We would like to thank everyone for their participation and hard work but especially the Spanish team for their organisation and positivity.
