OWL - 3
We are fortunate to have a remarkable medieval castle a few kilometers from the school. In partnership with the association "les Fous gèrent", the students will live in situ an entertainment around the legend of the Mélusine Fairy, as well as "medieval" activities (weapons, dances ...).
Due to the weather, this exit from the history / mythology theme will only take place in the spring.

We had a first experience at school:

The children in our school all experienced a dance and drama workshop led by a professional dancer based around our hero St. George.

                       FINLAND

Ateneum Art Museum

The Ateneum is Finland´s best known art museum and the home of Finnish art. The images held by Ateneum are ingrained in the collective memory of the Finnish people.

5c visited Ateneum Art museum with their class teacher Ari Malkamäki in January 2020. Later on we are going to upload a video of their visit to Ateneum. Now we are still having some technical problems, sorry.

There are many Kalevala-themed paintings in Ateneum. On this page you can see a couple of them.

Robert Wilhelm Ekman: Ilmatar, 1860.

Akseli Gallen-Kallela: The Aino Myth, Triptych, 1891

Akseli Gallen-Kallela: Lemminkäinen´s Mother, 1897

CATALONIA, Spain

The best way to know what were the differences between men and women, boys and girls some years ago, was to invite two of the grandmothers of two pupils to ask them some questions.
It was a very interesting experience and pupils were really surprised!
The heroine of our legend was very brave!
